We are here to help you

If you still have a question, please contact us on 1300 975 972 or via email at info@impressiondjs.com.au

Can I supply my own music for the Disc jockey to play at the function?

Yes, you can supply your own music via Spotify list, YouTube Links or USB. We like to have all music back three weeks before event so we have time to review, test and match a suitable wedding DJ or Party DJ.

Do you have back up equipment and DJ’s if required?

Yes.

Do you offer Master of Ceremonies (Emcee) services?

We do offer Master of Ceremonies (Emcee) services. A number of our DJs are also professionally trained Emcees and can perform this function on the night which of course will be an additional cost. Alternatively we can recommend professional “stand alone” Emcees.

Do you take requests?

Yes, we are more than happy to take requests if the bride and groom want us too.

Do your DJ's carry a cordless microphone?

All of our DJ’s carry a cordless microphone as part of their standard equipment for every function. This can be used by your guests for speeches and announcements.

Does the DJ carry up to date current music?

Our DJs carry the latest and most current music available from around the world.

Does the DJ set up display signage or banners?

Our DJs only carry business cards and a discreet A4 sign that is positioned on the DJ’s table in front of the console hiding any visible wiring.

Does the five hours include setup time?

No, the five hours is play time only and set up and take down of the equipment will be done outside of the five hours and you are not charged for this.

How do I choose my music?

Upon hiring your DJ we will send you the condensed version of our music list along with your comprehensive wedding or party pack. The wedding pack contains an extensive list of music ideas for your formalities, dinner and dancing. We have a song list feature on our website with sound files that are able to be accessed by using your client log on code.

How do we pay Impression DJs?

We currently accept direct deposit, credit card or payment by cheque.

How far in advance do we have to book a DJ?

To hire a DJ it is advisable to book up to 6 months ahead for a Saturday night so as not to be disappointed. We do advise you to hire your DJ at least two months prior to your event as we do book out quickly, especially during the last 3 months of the year as during that time there are weddings, Christmas parties, birthdays and corporate events.

How long does the DJ need to setup?

Your DJ will arrive at least one hour prior to the event to set up, and if the load in at the venue is difficult, your Disc Jockey will arrive earlier.

How much experience will my DJ have?

All of our DJs have a minimum of 5 years experience in the industry and some boast up to 10 and 15 years experience. Whilst our DJs who take care of 18th and 21st Birthday Parties are all young, many with club experience, they still have a number of years experience.

What areas do you service?

We service the Sydney Metropolitan Area, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Newcastle.

What equipment do your DJ’s carry?

All our DJ’s carry the latest premium equipment, and only use top end brands such as RCF, JBL, Pioneer, Denon, Vestax and Shure. All our lighting effects are LED which are the latest in technology and of the highest quality.

What special requirements will the DJ need to setup?

Your DJ will require a trestle type table, a table cloth is normally supplied by the venue to blend with the decorations/theme of the room. The DJ will also need access to power and a chair.

What will your disc jockey wear to the event?

Our DJs will dress in accordance with the dress code on your invitation and if no dress code is specified, we will check with the client prior to the event.

When should I pay Impression DJs?

We require a deposit after booking to secure your date and the balance is payable either the week before the function or on the night.

Why should I use a DJ instead of a band?

A DJ has a much larger range of music and is much more cost effective. This enables your guests to request a wide range of tracks on the night.

Why should we book Impression DJs instead of another DJ Company?

Impression DJs have won the ABIA award as the best DJ Company in NSW for a total of 8 years. We treat each function very individually and we are happy to assist clients with their music selection. DJ hire is such an important aspect of the evening as a good DJ and music is critical to a successful wedding, party or function. Our DJ equipment is the best available for a mobile situation and our DJs have a real passion for what they do. We select an age appropriate DJ for each event and our testimonials speak for themselves.
